Get amazed by one of Lebanon’s main highlights: the world-class UNESCO World Heritage Site of Baalbek. As a homage to Jupiter, Venus and Mercury, it is the largest and most outstanding Roman temple complex in the world. After a travel through Baalbek’s spectacular history, we will head to Anjar where you will visit an impressive Umayyad site from the 8th century, built by Lebanon’s first Arab dynasty and used to serve as an inland trading center. On our way, we will stop at a Roman quarry for you to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch bag with home-made manaouche, boiled eggs, two kinds of bread, jam and organic fruits & vegetables.
